Protein CSA

Community Supported Agriculture

After decades working in the animal health industry, Phil felt the pull for a more hands-on approach. Growing up on a fourth generation farm that raised livestock for both meat and dairy, he had a deep understanding of the value of healthy, sustainable protein. As the demand for locally sourced food grew, particularly in response to concerns over factory farming and the environmental toll of industrial agriculture, Phil knew there was an opportunity to provide something better for their community.

In 2024, Lawler Farms expanded to include a protein CSA. Phil introduced a variety of livestock to the farm, including pastured chickens, turkeys, heritage sheep, and grass-fed cattle. The CSA model allowed families to purchase shares in the farm's meat production, giving them direct access to high-quality, humanely raised protein. Members received a regular supply of fresh, pasture-raised meat—beef, pork, chicken, and lamb—raised with the care and respect that defined the farm’s philosophy. More and more families are discovering the benefits of supporting local farms and knowing exactly where their food came from.
